Take the time to discover the outsider art works of Alphonse Gurlhie. This eccentric character, born in Chandolas, was both a poacher, fisherman, and hunter. Totems, bestiaries, and imaginary animals populate his work, making him one of the masters of outsider art.
Description
Leave the parking lot and turn right onto the road. Continue along the road and, at the intersection, take the left path known as "Chemin de la Vignasse." Keep going and then proceed straight.
Pass by the Wood Farm and continue along the trail through the grassy area until you reach the first houses.
Cross the village until you reach the Chandolas post.
1- Chandolas post - Follow the sign "Pont de Maisonneuve - 2.4km." Turn left, then right, and continue along the path that crosses the cultivated alluvial plain.
Next, follow the banks of the Chassezac River. Once you reach the multipurpose hall, cross the meadow to return to your starting point.

Access and parking
From Les Vans (15 km), follow the signs for Vallon Pont D'Arc and then Chandolas. From Joyeuse (12 km), follow the directions to Alès, and at Maisonneuve, head towards Chandolas.
