This circuit will take you through the hamlets of Chambonas between the vines and chestnut trees.

Owned by the abbey of Saint Gilles (Gard department) in the 13th century, Chambonas still has a 13m long bridge over the Chassezac and a church dedicated to Saint Martin.


Description

Climb the steps next to the hiking signposts

  1. Poteau Le Pont - Follow Chanteperdrix 1,8 km (). Follow the road towards the castle.
  2. Poteau At the gate, follow Chanteperdrix 1.7 km (), turn left, then take the first path on the right that runs along the park's wall.
  3. Poteau Chanteperdrix - Follow Les Sièlves 1,5 km.
  4. Poteau Les Sièlves - Follow Travers de Loutre 0,8 km.
  5. Poteau Travers de Loutre - Follow Escoufour 1,9 km.
  6. Poteau Escoufour - Follow Vignelongue 2 km. Take the road uphill.
  7. Poteau Vignelongue - Follow La Fabrique 0,7 km.
  8. Poteau La Fabrique - Follow Champmajour 0,5 km. Go up to the hamlet then head left (GRP) along the road.
  9. Poteau Champmajour - Follow Le Vignal 1,3 km (PR).
  10. Poteau Le Vignal - Follow Bernardy 2,1 km.
  11. Poteau Bernardy - Follow Les Bans 1,6 km.
  12. Poteau Les Bans - Follow Pont des Bans 1 km (GRP). Then return to Le Pont via Chambonas village.
